Currier Scholarship

The Community Foundation of St. Joseph County has an exciting scholarship opportunity for Purdue University engineering students who are residents of St. Joseph County. As you enter the summer and fall advising season, we would appreciate your assistance in helping us promote this wonderful opportunity to your engineering students. As a former academic advisor, I know how influential you can be in encouraging your students to take advantage of opportunities like this!

Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have been admitted to the College of Engineering by the end of the Spring 2024 semester are eligible to apply for the Donald C. and Marion E. Currier Scholarship, which covers 100% of the student’s college expenses, including full tuition, fees, room and board, and a book stipend. We highly encourage any student currently enrolled or planning to pursue a degree in ANY engineering field (excluding Engineering Education) to apply! Multiple scholarships are available.

The application deadline is June 1, and funding would begin for the Fall 2024 semester.  The scholarship is renewable for up to 6 semesters or through the end of the senior year, provided the student maintains a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA.  Attached is a flyer (if you’d like to hang this in your office!) and a copy of the specific guidelines for the scholarship, if needed.

I’ve sent this message to the head of advising in each department, so if you could please forward this to all your advisors, it would be much appreciated. Amy Wagner will be sending an email directly to the students from St. Joseph County who may be eligible.

If you or your students have any questions, feel free to contact me directly at christine@cfsjc.org. Thank you again for your help with this!
