PUMA (Purdue University Material Advantage) is Purdue’s chapter of the national materials science and engineering organization Material Advantage. Material Advantage provides students affordable access to the most preeminent professional materials science and engineering societies (ACerS, AIST, ASM International, and TMS). PUMA provides professional opportunities to network with industry professionals, social opportunities to connect with other engineers, public speaking and leadership opportunities to tour prospective Purdue students through the MSE department, and travel opportunities to compete at and attend national conferences.
