CMI Summer Undergraduate Research
The Center for Materials Innovation (CMI) at the University of Michigan invites you to help us recruit talented undergraduates for our Summer Undergraduate Research Experience.
This 10-week paid research program provides undergraduates with immersive, faculty-mentored research in materials science, engineering, and related STEM fields, with a strong emphasis on mentorship, research skill development, and preparation for graduate study and STEM careers.
Students in the program:
- Conduct hands-on research in active University of Michigan laboratories
- Receive mentoring from faculty, graduate students, and postdocs
- Participate in professional development focused on graduate school and research careers
- Present their work at a culminating research symposium

- Eligibility: Undergraduate students in STEM fields
