SU2025 Research Experience @ Univ. Colorado Boulder

The Materials Science & Engineering (MSE) program and the Renewable & Sustainable Energy Institute (RASEI) at the University of Colorado Boulder are accepting applications for our NSF-funded Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) in “Engineering Materials for a Healthy World.” The program is directed by myself and Prof. Max Boykoff and will offer a wide range of research projects in materials from health to infrastructure to energy as well as in science policy. The research experience will be complemented with professional development activities focused on science justice and policy and planned social activities in and around Boulder, CO.

This is a 10-week in-person research intensive program that will run May 19, 2025-July 25, 2025 and will include a stipend, housing and travel assistance. Information about the program and application portal can be found at this link. Due to the funding mechanism, the REU program is limited to US citizens and permanent residents.

We will begin reviewing applications on February 1, 2025 and will continue to accept applications until all positions are filled.

If you have any questions about the application process or the summer program, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at sbryant@colorado.edu.
