EPICS Pre-Registration Survey
Dear MSE Students,
We would like to bring to your attention to one of the EPICS (Engineering Projects in Community Service) teams, the MSE Bronze Team. This team focuses on the design process of casting plaques for historical locations in West Lafayette and Lafayette. Through participating in this team, students gain experience working in EPICS and MSE labs while contributing to the community. MSE EPICS Fall 2024 Schedule: Friday 12:30 – 2:20 PM.
Please note that the EPICS pre-registration survey is due on Friday, March 29. Pre-registration will be facilitated through the EPICS office and the Registrar prior to batch scheduling. It is important to highlight that students and advisors should not add EPICS to CRFs through Scheduling Assistant. Instead, your EPICS section will be placed on your CRF for you to ensure optimization with your other courses, thereby increasing the likelihood of being assigned to your preferred team. To indicate the team you wish to join for the upcoming semester, please complete the Pre-Registration form at https://purdue.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cu0RWkgyAlTX1hI
Upon completion of the survey, EPICS and the Registrar’s office will add the course to your schedule according to the team you selected in the survey.
Open registration will be conducted through myPurdue, similar to your other courses, with a notable difference: each division of EPICS represents a different team. Unlike most courses where labs remain consistent regardless of scheduling, each lab division in EPICS signifies a different team. You can select your team by locating the appropriate CRN via the CRN list on the EPICS registration page.
If you would like further information about MSE EPICS before registering, please feel free to contact the team advisors Jorge Martinez (mart1419@purdue.edu) and Prof. Mohamad Zbib (mzbib@purdue.edu).
EPICS Student Job Opportunity: Responsibilities include processing packages, helping people who drop in, filing, restocking, special projects, possible website updates, and general office duties. Looking for freshman or sophomores interested in working with EPICS longer term. It is not a requirement to be enrolled in EPICS to work in our office. If you are interested, please contact Haley Cutler directly at hlindemo@purdue.edu.
Thank you,
Mohamad Zbib, Ph.D.
