Orientation Programs Team Leader (TL)
Reminder: The Orientation Programs’ Team Leader application closes this Sunday, February 15 at 11:59pm!
Please consider sharing this opportunity with students who may be interested in peer leadership, campus involvement, and supporting new students.
Team Leaders (TLs) are undergraduate students who help create a supportive and welcoming environment for new students during Orientation Programs events. TLs lead new students to events during the week of BGR and BGRi and help them get familiar with the campus and community. This role is ideal for students who are dependable, enthusiastic, and interested in contributing to student success and retention through peer leadership.
The Team Leader role also provides students with significant co-curricular learning outcomes, including the development of:
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and conflict management strategies
- Leadership, teamwork, and professionalism
Team Leaders often conclude their program experience with stronger leadership skills and tools in which to discuss their leadership style, and in turn, find that they are more competitive when applying for other leadership roles and job searching in the future.
The Team Leader application closes on Sunday, February 15 at 11:59pm. Applications can be submitted on the eRezLife platform: https://purdueorientation.erezlife.com/
