EPICS Registration Reminder
Dear MSE Students,
We would like to bring to your attention one of the EPICS (Engineering Projects in Community Service) teams, the MSE Bronze Team. This team focuses on the design process of casting plaques for historical locations in West Lafayette and Lafayette. By participating in this team, students gain experience working in EPICS and MSE labs while contributing to the community.
MSE EPICS Fall 2024 Schedule: Fridays, 12:30 – 2:20 PM.
Did you know?
- EPICSÂ originated as a capstone design course offering authentic engineering-based projects with community organizations.
- Many recruiters count it as work experience because it develops the professional skills employers need in their teams (e.g., leadership and teamwork, project management, risk assessment, conflict resolution, and more) and provides concrete experience with real stakeholders and partners.
- There are no prerequisites; you will apply engineering concepts and learn by doing (no lectures).
- Students are mentored by other students familiar with the projects, graduate students, faculty, or staff with experience in various industrial and entrepreneurial environments.
- If you are a sophomore, junior, or senior in any engineering major, it is not too late to register for an EPICS section.
Visit the EPICS registration website to find schedules, CRNs, and registration instructions. Please feel free to visit EPICS in ARMS 1200 or email epics@purdue.edu.
