2026 Rickover Fellowship

The 2026 Rickover Fellowship* application cycle is now open. This is a prestigious program sponsored by the US Naval Reactors Program and includes employment at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) at either the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory (Schenectady, NY) or the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory (Pittsburgh, PA) at the completion of the student’s graduate studies. As such, applicants must be sole US citizens and able to obtain a DOE security clearance. The application deadline is January 31, 2026.
